The Heart & Sole Running Club is lead by high school volunteers in the Bay Area who have athletic experience running long distance in their high school cross country and track teams. Our main goal is to make exercise, specifically running, an enjoyable and rewarding activity for the youth members. Often times, running (especially at school) is seen as a punishment and is portrayed negatively for kids. With the right activities and positive outlook, we make running to be what it should be – an exciting experience where members can socialize, build confidence and good sportsmanship, while simultaneously achieving a more active and healthy lifestyle.
Welcome to Santa Cruz Youth Running Group. We teach students about the physical and mental-health benefits of activities such as running and exercise in general, helping them become more comfortable with engaging in physical activity and developing a love for physical fitness.
The Active Kid’s Run Club is a 8 week running program designed to help kids love to run. We’ll focus on proper running form and practice current techniques in run training. We’ll also cover pacing, goal setting, and dynamic stretching, in addition to working with kids to help begin the journey of discovering her or his potential.
